No dice. Whatever is in there probably knows you're there now though. Assuming it's alive.

I try to raise my knees upwards, sliding my feet firmly on the bottom of the coffin, trying to pop the top off or at least weaken the lock some that holds me in my prison.

(Hey, didn't one of the original 2 posters "Need to use the restroom" while inside the coffin? What happened to that? also, I think it's time we start specifying which coffin we're interacting with, since it's getting rather confusing.)
Hearing the thump on his coffin, he stops yelling, as whatever is out there has clearly heard him. However, he begins to panic more as he realises it is becoming hard to breathe.
Heart rate increasing, can not control breathing due to panic.

I begin to regain some kind of control over my self and convulse on the impact of the state-of-being I am entering. Picking myself up, I look around again - disorientated from the recent incident.

He points to the broken coffin, "Help the man in that one get out! I'll see if I can make an oxygen hole in this one."

I turn my head towards the coffin I am in front of, "Try kicking a hole in the coffin, or punching a hole!" I say as I look around the room for something to break a lock or some wood.

(I just realized Akiane also has fear of pain so I'll get another phobia for my character.)

The coffin is heavy, and the lock isn't giving much breathing room. You don't have much leverage. You fail to damage the lock, but more of the wood at the bottom of the coffin has cracked and given way. Your legs suffer for this however. At least... they're sore now.

(If they did I'm sure the absolute adrenaline involved in this intense situation is probably stemming it off for now)
Oxygen is becoming increasingly sparse. You'll start suffocating after your next action if something doesn't happen soon.

Another coffin is making panicked noises (the one without holes in it). The other one seems to be attempting to break out of the coffin and has torn another line in the bottom of his coffin. It looked slightly painful. As for the other fellow who is out of the coffin with you- he's yelling at you to do things. You ought to pay attention.

There's still that useless crutch, as well as a rubber hammer and your swiss army knife. At least, those are what you immediately saw. There's probably a crowbar or something around here if this was any sort of out-of-place misadventure.

(Sorry I was so late on this one. I forgot my password for awhile.)

I take the rubber hammer and try pounding the lock sideways with it so it can hopefully break/fall off.

I run to the other coffin, with the voices and various sounds coming from it. I yell in response, "Don't worry, I'm going to try to get you out of there!" With my words, I fidget with the lock seeing if it's loose, I then look around for anything that could help.

I fidgit around inside the coffin, adjusting myself to position my legs so I can possibly try and kick out some more of the newly loosened wood panels of the coffin.

Fortune seems to be shining on you. Sort of. The lock has been bent all out of shape. It ain't busted off. In fact it looks like you might have wedged a part of it in more. But hey- that hammer is by no means useless!

Why do you assume the lock isn't loose?

... It is.

This coffin isn't of supreme size. Your movements are mostly limited to moving up and down on the horizontal plane. You manage to place both of your feet on solid, unbusted wood on the bottom of the coffin.

You also hear somebody hitting your coffin with something.

When I take in everything, I realize that it felt loose. I try to shake it open / off.

I hear someone pounding on the lock but I insist on trying to find my own way out, or finding some way to just get out of the cramped space I'm in. I continue trying to kick out or put all my leg strength against the side of the wood to try and pry more panels off.

(Sorry for the -constant- brackets, but yes, according to one of your quotes on the second page, Akiane needs to use the restroom. That's all the brackets for now.)
Since it seems there's little progress being made on his coffin, tries to calm down as a last-ditch effort to conserve any traces of air left inside his coffin. If he does manage to get out after this point, he won't be in such a great state of being as he is -really- panicking right now.

I leave the other man outside the coffins to the open one and try to cut a breathing hole open with my swiss army knife on the practically untouched coffin.

Yep! It comes off. Apparently somebody, or something forgot to lock that one. You now have a lock.

In a surprising show of strength, the panels open up at the bottom and curl up slightly towards you. If you were a turtle you could totally utilize this coffin as your shell. You'd just need a hole for your head and arms! But alas, you are struck with the misfortune of being a bipedal creature, still trapped within the coffin by your unfortunately well-tended torso. Maybe if you starved yourself for a couple of years you may shrink enough to slip though?

Fortune shines upon you! Something is banging on your box. Oh- and you're suffocating. I guess that's not so fortunate. Two turns until you expire!

You drive your knife into the wooden face of the coffin. If wood could laugh I'm sure it would be right now. Oh, and that other guy is fiddling with the lock.

Removed the lock, the coffin is still very closed, however. :3

I sigh seeing just how futile it is trying to force my way out by kicking with such limited movement to begin with. I then begin thinking about just trying to possibly shift my weight to slide the coffin off of the table and possibly shattering the coffin on the ground, but I decide to wait on this and instead ask for help. "Can you please pull the panels away so I can slide out from the slide?"

Attempting to take another breath, he suddenly realises that there is no air left in the coffin, and falls unconscious from the combined stress and fear.

I feel around for any other way inside, perhaps a crevice that something might fit under and pop it open. Or another loose latch.

Your statement is audible enough to be easily heard.

I don't remember being unconscious recently. Let's assume you imagine sheep. Or space. Particularly being IN space. Without a suit. Or air. You're suffocating in your dreams too. Bummer.

Akiane wrote:I feel around for any other way inside, perhaps a crevice that something might fit under and pop it open. Or another loose latch.

As you feel around the coffin you notice nothing it keeping it locked. It opens slightly as you push on it, while searching for things.

I do as such.

Approved. You wake up, finding your head lying on a keyboard. The room is poorly lit, with the glow of the numerous tv monitors around you making up for a majority of the lighting. Your head hurts, and you can't remember what exactly you were doing in that room. The swivel chair is kinda comfy, though.

Alright. You latch onto one of the panels and pull back. Fortunately, it gives. However it isn't breaking. If you were to let go it'd give whatever is in its way a good smack.
