The Western Tower represents all Mystics, Sorcerors, and Witchhunters of the Rynguard city Arphain. It is the tallest of the two marble towers, though the weakest structural wise, due to its thinner base. It houses many of those who practice and seek out the magical arts. The Western Tower rests on the Western side of the Emerald Bay. In conjoined efforts, the two towers keep Arphain one of the most inpenetratable cities by sea. The tower is of a cobalt hue all over, with a large spire adorning the tip of the tower. There are fewer battlements and warmachines on the balconies of this blue tower, but the amount of projectile spells which can be launched easily makes up for it.The tower is lead by a revered Mystic by the name of Voruel Ebyncrest.

A young and quite talented Sorceror, Salden Fireheart of the noble Fireheart family finds himself being pulled aside by a Lieutenant Mystic, by the name of Halden Shilik. Halden is wearing a deep purple robe, with chainmail interwoven into it around his chest, shoulders, and upper arms. He approaches you with a kind-hearted face, his usual look about his face, though rarely accompanied with a smile. He quietly asks of your time and pulls you to a more discrete part of the large training room.

You have not been called to duty in quite some time, and you figure today is the day you finally get to go back out and earn a good clink to your pocket.

"Salden Fireheart, I've been ordered to give you your first assignment of the month." He says in a stern yet calm voice. His green eyes stay glued to Salden, awaiting a reply.

To Salden this was quite an important day, though there was much excitement in his burning heart he dared not show it. Life for the past month had been intensely boring for the elf.

In a calm voice Salden replied, looking up the the lieutenant, "Much anticipated sir, just tell me what to do and I'll do it."

The young elf hoped this job would include burning something up as it was his most favorite thing. His hood laid at the base of his neck, as he'd never wear it because it'd possibly be a show of disrespect in the area. Though Salden let his dark hair hang above his eyes.

Halden Shilik continued, instructing Salden of what he was to do. "Do you recall the construction of a stone road to the South East of the Arphain Bay? It is being built to better connect the Eastern Tower to the Western Tower, and seeing as how the Western Tower is already connected to Arphain by the same stone road, this will complete a major part of the infrastructure of our Kingdom." The Lieutinent seemed quite bothered though as he spoke.

"You must gather your things quickly, though." He said. "There's been reports of packs of Bog Trolls wandering about to the South East of the road. Fire is the bane of any Bog Troll, so we knew you would be perfect for the job. Please make haste now and protect the men and women who are working on the road!"

Salden grinned, the image of a Bog Troll burning to bits already igniting in the back of his head.

Looking up to the lieutenant Salden replied, "I'll leave right away." Dashing off towards the stairwell Salden's footsteps resonated throughout the floor. His robe lifting off his back a tinge as he halted at the stairs. Remembering how he was to remain calm he began to walk.

Salden calmly began to walk up the stairs, hand on the golden hand rails of the elaborate stairs. As others passed by him he avoided eye contact. The sorcerer had never made friends at the tower, not after the incident in which he engulfed the not so bright boy on fire. The nobles in ways either feared him or despised him.

Having reached his door he opened the oaken door slowly. With a quiet creak the homely room's atmosphere coated him as he stepped in, closing the door behind him. Letting out a sigh Salden walked towards the foot of his bed, opening a chest and pulling out his staff. Enchanted with resistance to both heat and fire it suited his needs. The staff was topped with a fiery red gem, and the body was engraved with many intricate designs that slightly represented flames.

Strapping the staff to his back, Salden grabbed a bag of biscuits and a pouch of gold coins to take on the trip. He stepped out of the dimly lit room to the bustling tower's fifth floor. He made way down the stairs and after many spins around the spiraling stair case he found himself at the first floor, standing in front of the exit.
